Hi, I’m a freelance jazz saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, performing on alto, tenor, and soprano saxophones, as well as clarinet and flute. My journey with music began at age 8 when my teacher suggested I try the saxophone. Although I was reluctant at first, I soon found myself captivated by the instrument and the joy it brought me. Now, with over 12 years of playing experience, I continue to grow and explore new musical landscapes.
Currently in my third year on the jazz course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, I have the privilege of learning from and collaborating with amazing musicians like Tony Kofi, Xhosa Cole, Tom Challenger, and many others. This has been a transformative experience that has deepened my understanding of jazz, improvisation, and music as a whole.
Starting with classical training, I developed strong technical skills and sight-reading ability. However, it was when I specialized in jazz that I truly found my voice, honing my improvisational skills and embracing the freedom and creativity that the genre offers. Today, my playing style is deeply influenced by jazz while drawing inspiration from many genres, giving my performances a distinctive and versatile edge.
I’ve had the privilege of performing at renowned venues such as Upstairs at Ronnie Scott’s, Lafayette in Kings Cross, and Oslo in Hackney, as well as many smaller jazz venues. I collaborate with various bands as a sideman and in horn sections, always bringing a unique energy and voice to each project.
Teaching is another passion of mine. With over two years of private teaching experience, I offer lessons in saxophone and clarinet, specializing in jazz and improvisation. My relaxed and supportive approach helps students of all levels build confidence, develop their skills, and discover how fun and rewarding music can be.
At 21, my goal is to continue exploring new musical horizons, performing in diverse settings, and establishing myself as a distinctive voice on the saxophone—one that musicians and audiences alike will remember
